Pre bed time meal

I need ideas here guys. I've been taking in a casein/isolate drink before bed along with some nuts and/or fish oil. I'm wondering if it would be better to have some kind of whole food meal instead. Have any of you found a good meal that is better than protein powder that won't put on fat?

I'd appreciate any ideas you can give.

when trying to cut fat i'll just take in a protein shake and either almonds or flax seed oil before bed.

Heck I even eat steaks before bed. I think you will be fine as long as you eat a protein/fat meal

When I eat cottage cheese before bed for some reason I always get bloated, but I might have an allergy to milk products
 
This one company that I was using a supp from had a diet that they gave out. The last meal before bed was a hamburger with cheese and boiled eggs. They claimed that was more anabolic than any protein drink during the night. Any thoughts on that?
 
Well when I used to eat raw eggs before bed I got fat haha

Just eat a damn steak. Have a T-bone if you can afford it. Now that is an anabolic gut bomb
 
I always find flax oil before bed keeps me awake. I'm switching to a shake like G4E mentioned. I'll probably add some greens to it for the nutritonal value.

Another option is to grill up some fish. Go out and buy some salmon or tuna burgers.
 
mine is not a shake, I put cottage cheese in bowl, add a scoop PB, then add a scoop of whey, stir it all up like pudding, you need to add a bit of cold water or it gets to thick........maybe 2 oz at most

Is that natural pb ?
 
naw, I am not following any strict diet. I eat clean all the time anyhow so using regular PB aint gonna hurt me....lol
