I watched a couple videos on youtube about prepping for the economic collapse. I went to the gun shop yesterday. Im getting a 12 gauge tactical pump. Its got an 18.5 inch barrel perfect for close combat. My next purchase is gonna be a long rifle. It will be good for engaging enemies or hunting large game. I was thinking of .30 .30 or a .44 magnum or maybe even a .357 magnum, I think the .30 .30 might be the best choice for someone living out in the country.

Im gonna stock pile some food, gas, and water. Ill be living with my girlfriend bye the end of the month and I want to make sure we have stuff just in case. Im gonna put together a 3 day kit In case I have to high tale it into the woods for a few days or drive across country. Im gonna have a scavaging kit too. Equiped with a lockpick set, gas syphon, mag lite, and when I can offord it small revolver or glock.

Im also gonna get everything fixed that needs it on my jeep and keep it in good shape. I feel like im getting a little paranoid but Im not gonna go to extreme measures. I just want to be able to take care of my family and woman

more caches are better then one big one. gas spoils unless you add gas line antifreeze to it I believe. think of a spot you want to make home, if it gets that bad, rather than having ho plan and wandering till you get picked off. its paranoid ya but its also fun and if you actually need it some day, than your a fuck of alot beter off than most people. try to get some tamiflu medication. I think this H1N1 could be the big one that gets the ball rolling come fall or next spring

What the fuck have you been smoking????

Id say go with an ar-10 style rifle. the most popular and accurate sniper/assult rifle SOCOM uses them for mid range up to 800 meters, flat trajectory, powerful, and a 19-20 rd mag depending on model. go with a less expensive one and it will shoot gi 7.62x54 ammo. i made the mistake of getting the rifle the socom accually uses and it only does well with match grade ammo, gets expensive to shoot. Also go with a revolver, less cleaning is required for a good shot, plus .357 mag is the optimal round for single shot takedown.

I was looking at ar 15. I see alot of guys buy seperate parts and build them on there own. How much do the ar 10 run for

there's also a drinking straw filtration system that can give you 200 litres (25 US Gallons) of pure drinking water, good for keeping down carrying load and lets you save what's in your canteen for when you really need it.

Get stocking up on meds too, long life stuff, especially broad spectrum antibiotics and non penicillin antibiotics. If you have to haul ass and rough it for a few days, ensure you have preparations to look after your feet - antifungal creams & powders, blister pads like Compeed. Unless you're used to being outdoors in the woods, your skin will be shit, get DEET 50% sprays for mozzies, hydrocortisone and aniseptics for scratches, cuts and the spots you always end up with living rough.
Basic painkillers & anti inflammatories are a must too, as are immodium, antiemetics and antacids.

you guys are nuts...lol..

you guys watch to many movies and online too much.

There are what seems like extremes but... It is wise to have some provisions. Natural disasters can cause shortages pretty quick. Besides that things can turn around way quicker than most would like to believe. I hope I'm wrong but I think we're in for a really bad ride and who knows when it will end. The gov is just waiting for an excuse to declare martial law. You know that fucking Czar appointing bitch Obama is setting every facet of goverment up for his dictatorial rule. It's just a matter of time before one of the many things on the edge sets things blazing.

Ar-15 is a great rifle you can get a new one for around 600, ar-10 for around 700, but the good ones are usally around 1000. the m16 was origionally made as an ar-10 but the gov wanted high capacity mags so they adapted it to fit a .223 round. both are very good weapons. I have a good friend that is a socom leader from field experience he says the ar-10 is a much better weapon to "reach out and touch someone" but for close combat the ar-15 works just fine, just need to have better shot placement with the smaller round, they advocate 3 shots per kill in close range 2 in the chest one in the head, with the .308 one shot one kill. I would definately suggest DPMS for either, they come in at sub 1 MOA.

Damn, David Koresh, are you going to build yourself a compound and marry a bunch of pre-teen girls too? Come on guys, be rationale! Being prepared for a natural disaster is smart - have some non-perishable food, water, generator, gas, and a weapon for protection on hand. That other shit is just ridiculousness and paranoia taking control. Stop watching youtube!!!!
