With the price of meat and eggs

What are you guys doing to offset the cost?

I?m gonna put in a chicken coop this spring and saw fuck it

Unfortunately no chickens are allowed in the city I’m in. When I go back home & can have any animal I want though. I’m home about everything weekend so it’s possible.

I just keep eating 300g protein a day. Half of that is from lean beef. So it’s not cheap to eat

I mainly stick with ground turkey & ground beef. Occasionally I add in fish one or two times a week. It still isn’t exactly cheap though.

Holy shit, my eggs actually just went down.

18 at Walmart was over $7 and they just dropped it down to $5.50 :D

I buy the pasteurized egg whites at the moment. It's actually the cheaper option. Never thought I'd see the day.

honestly, I'm tired of the same s*** all the time so really idk.. I've been eating a lot of ground beef 90/10 lately... form it in a burger patty, grill it, put it over some rice with some BBQ sauce and Asparagus or Broccoli...

I guess I'm going back to shake and bake chicken and eggs and rice for breakfast once this craziness is over! lol

We have about a dozen chickens, producing an avg of 11 eggs daily. Easy to maintain and make your money back in 6 months depending on how many you go through. We go through a case (60) weekly.
