Random Question for the Guys

Hey guys (and gals!), Just had a random question...

Do guys like it when girls hit on them? I mean, like obviously hitting on them and/or using "lines"?

The reason I ask is because I know how much I HATE it when guys approach me with stupid lines, whether they're cute or not. But sometimes when I see a hot guy I think to myself, "damn, I don't know how to approach him without it sounding like a line or actually being a line". Sometimes I just want to be totally blunt and be like, "hey you're fine as all hell, can I buy you a drink?" Would that be a total turn off?

I don't date much, and I don't randomly approach hot guys, but every now and then a hottie a the club or gym will catch my eye.

Guys, how do you like to be approached by women?

to be completely honest, i think its a great thing when a woman comes up to me and begins to hit on me. its actually the type of women i like. it shows that they know what they want, and they arent too dam timid to try and get it.

there is blunt and classy and blunt and piggish. Sexuality is fine, but at least friggin intro yourself and dont come across as a total ass. we (at least I) look at it as pathetic much like women look at men as pathetic trying the same approach

I was totally making a joke cuz some lame guy has pulled that line on me! More than once! Guys in LA think they can get laid by telling chicks that they're producers, or photographers. It's such bullshit. Just imagine if chicks did go up to guys with that one....LAME!

Just remember you dont have to open up with the "I thought you were cute/hot/attractive/interesting" that's sort of a NO SHIT line. obviously there was some form of attraction for you to even come up, i mean unless it was a dare from your friends. Just intro yourself and start a conversation. Altho sometimes a super cheesey line gives a good laugh and a start to a conversation

Case in point: I was at a party this weekend, and a friend of mine comes up to me and tells me that one of her friends is really into me. We get to talking and after a while she tells me that she really wants to go out with me sometime. It was really great for once not to have the pressure of having to do all that.
