.... Going out now to teach my 16 yo girl how to drive in the snow. Been waiting for this moment. If I dont check back in before midnight it was nice knowing all y'all.

lol, good luck put your helmets on.my girl will turn 16 soon scares the hell out of me.

Lmfao!! Good luck! Send me a picture of your BP when it's over

Geez dude why don't you just dive off the Empire State Building into a bucket of water? You might have a better chance of living than that  :D

I rememebr teaching my boys to drive. Not my finest moments in patience or self control. But we all survived somehow. They may be slightly emotionally scarred though.

Still no sign of darkness! Not looking forward to having to teach my little guy to drive. Thank God hes only 3!

My kids were used to driving tractors and etc around the farm and stuff,
when they turned 16 it was still nerve racking but they had a good idea of what to do ....Now they pull in the driveway and there flipping radio is so loud it wakes me at 10:00pm ,,Grrrr ,damn girls

I am back. forgot about this thread and did not mean to worry anyone lol.

Actually she did very well. She has had her license for a few months and I did not want to turn her loose without snow instruction. We put the truck in a skid intentionally in the school parking lot and she counter steered out, then the other way when it swung clear around, and so forth. First try perfect... We repeated about 20 times. Made sure I had her simulate a typical freakout and slam on the breaks like her mother would so we spun around like a helicopter 3 times. "See why we never do that Pookie Bear?" We went over several other things too.

She is officially Father Certified for snow travel.

Then I said "pull that lever right there. Now you are in 4WD and most of the shit I just showed you you wont have to put up with. Drop me off at the house and have a nice night".

She's at work now and the great white death if falling heavy. Father is carelessly napping in his recliner posting on PM.

that's gotta be some feeling Darkness, passing on your knowledge and experience to your child...a daughter no less! now she'll be able to outdrive any showoff thrill seeker who'd panic in a white knuckle moment lol...good job pops!

Ha! I hoped don't take it that far! I just wanted to be able to sleep on a snowy night if she's working :)

I don't think parents do this enough. I had to go get my mom last night. She's my next student
