Salad?

What kind of nutrients does one obtain from eating salads?? I just recently decided to start putting them in my diet and was wondering what benefits do they have
 
yup, also it can help u control cravings....i use 2 eat a ton of salads & mix in some seasoned chicken....just helps make the meal bigger
 
Various vitamins and minerals and such. Its always good to throw in a salad or two during the day for the extra veggies. Sometimes during a diet we tend to shy away from these foods that our bodies need

I eat 2 salads a day....big ones!! I use baby spinach, romaine and iceberg lettuce (mostly spinach). With red onion, mushrooms, tomato, peppers, and a low-fat Italian dressing. Sometimes I'll put my tuna or chicken breast in with it. It's a great way to fill up and get in the fiber, vitamins, etc with little calories. Just don't go overboard on the dressing. I only use a tablespoon. Cottage cheese is good as a dressing too.
