Having a problem in the shoulder, I believe it more the rotator cuff. I get some pain when doing chest and delts

I would stop doing barbell curls if you do them, often tendonitis occurs along the bicep tendon from this exercise, the trouble is that you feel the problem more on chest days and not on biceps day.

Have you been to a doctor Johnny?
Not to a MD but a DC Chiropractor he has been adjusting it and it seemd to be getting better. I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas, to maybe help it along

I do several shouilder warm up exercises before every workout as I have some habitual shoulder problems.
1. The quickdraw and hitchhike (got this one from Gaspari in the 80's).
You start with a light db from accross the body, like you are drawing a gun from a holster on the opposite hip. Bring the arm up and back towards its side to shoulder level (keep elbow bent and down. Now extend it so the hand is back behind the shoulder, like you are givin a hitch hikers thumb. Keep the elbow in front of the hips. This should be done very slow and with light weight as it really stretches the rotator cuff area.
I do 2 sets of 10 each side with 10lb db's start with 5's or 8's until you can do it controlled, don't go fast and hyperextend.
2. Elbows at shoulder level, upper arms inline with body and each other. Elbow bent 90? and hands in front holding light db's. Rotate up and back keeping elbows down. Again, SLOWLY and light weight to stretch.
3. Basic small and big circle windmills with light db's

I try to do these every workout to stretch and warm up the shoulders. It really helps.
ALSO, stop going heavy on chest for a while and lighten up the curls.
Sometimes rest is the only cure.
Good Luck.

X Rays usually show little when it comes to shoulders, an mri is in order.

Very true.....I'm used to Canada!!! We can't get those unless it's been YEARS or head trauma or something!
