I don't drink often, but I do enjoy a quick alcohol buzz after a period of really stressful times. Something to quickly take the edge off.

More times than not I drink red wine; to mellow me out.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a sipping bourbon? Something smooth, not real sweet, and without the high octane finish like tequila has. I'm not much of a whiskey fan nor scotch.

JD single barrel. Believe it or not Costco has an excellent bourbon, and it's cheap. Larceny Kentucky straight bourbon. I'm not a big drinker at all, but enjoy a scotch or bourbon, once in a blue moon.

thats my one vice.....i love having a drink after a long day but i always feel guilty...............

I'm not refined at all but I do like the kick of bourbon and I know there are some really good ones out there.

Looks like I'll be picking up some Basil Hayden and Makers Mark.

I drink beer and sometimes still my own shine. Not a huge bourbon fan though. I'm sure the higher price the better the booze though.

I would suggest a Canadian blend whiskey called Forty Creek. It has a really good taste, a little sweet but not too much. Goes down really smooth too. I never really "sipped" any whiskey, but this stuff is absolutely a sipping whiskey. I'm glad I quit drinking because I was really hooked on this stuff!!
