hey guys/gals give me some good exercises that will not involve a lot of my abs during leg training.I have to go light and watch what I do coming back from surgery.I already have leg extensions leg curls and of course calves they should be no problem but need some quad exercises im sure squats are a no at this point in my recovery.I thought about maybe light lunges.I should be able to squat light again in 4 more weeks but not at this point.

Also some back exercises.

I have delts and tris covered and chest and bis.

I'd say lunges will bring abs into play when they help you stabalize. Just stick with what your initial plan is bro, leg extensions/curls for now. 4 weeks is nothing bro take it easy

True I thought about just doing about 6-9 sets of extensions then the same with curls.Im also afraid leg press would be too much at this point.I should have no problem doing calves though.

even on those I'd still go light and just squeeze the hell out of them. just something to get the blood flowing.

if you can do some shoulder press id do it on the medicine ball..always gets my abs a good pump

he needs to leave abs totally out of all exercises at the moment

right but doing shoulder press on the medicine ball seems to work my abs out slightly...if i read it right hes trying to see of any light leg excercises that can slightly stimulate the abs correct?

he just had stomach surgery and shouldn't be contracting the abs at all

yesterday I did chest and biceps and didnt have any pain but like you stated I went light and used good form.

Well all i done was let extensions and ham curls and some calves.I didnt want to push my stomach yet.I will probally do this on legs for about 2-3 more weeks.

yeah ,bro..dont risk it yet..legs ext and leg curls are more than enough for now..do lots of reps and use your mind ..i know you can make 30 lbs feel like 200 if you want to..,u know what i mean.

Man I went extremly light Monday on chest and biceps and they are so sore today.man its funny how you can take light weight and use your head and make it work.

Like the saying goes...

"A true bodybuilder can make 10lbs feel like 100lbs"

i had no idea u had surgery bro but im glad ur recovering well. you've already accomplished so much in bbing. maybe its time to enjoy some other things in life.

i think almost all exercises involve abs so i would say just go light and ease into it

Fred, try doing massive sets of static contractions and hold them for increasing times. The muscles are still getting pumped and there's no involvement with abdominals at all.

I trashed my knee a month ago and still in the healing process. What Iv been doing is biking at the gym. I set the level kind of easy at first than work my way up to a higher level. By the time I'm finish I get a great pump from it I know it's cardo but man it has helped my old ass out a good bit.
