If you are one of the idividuals I speak of in this thread, don't take offense. Use it in a positive way and correct it!
What is the deal with people squatting in the gyms these days? It's great to see people squatting, but when all they are doing is a modified calf raise (LMAO!), it's not going to help any. I can't help but think ego's come into play here big time, but if your loading up the bar with 225,315, 405 ex..and not even close to squatting low enough, your not impressing anyone or doing yourself any good. If anything you look like an idiot lol. With an exception of a few guys (maybe 2), I probably squat the most weight in my gym correctly. Shocking, I know lol. What gets me everytime is when you see a guy load up 405lbs on the bar and does what he thinks is a squat (1 to2inch drop), and then walks around like he owns the place lol. I am much more impressed with a guy that squats 225 correctly, then one that loads up 405 and does a modified calf raise lol. if your one of these guys, take off about half of the weight your doing. Learn how to do things right. Your not impressing anyone or doing yourself any good. Leave your ego at the door..
