I know I'm several pages late. But I don't agree with how these are executed on this page. The way I was shown at Westside was, the dumbbells touch the shoulders and are rotated to the floor, thus breaking the movement.

When the DB's hit your shoulders, your elbows should be pointing toward the ceiling, then they are rocked back ever so slightly as to allow the DB's to touch the floor...then snapped to lockout.

It makes a big fuggin difference.

~~~ I figured I had the 315 in me for the flat bench and maybe a lil more, but the 315 didn't go up as easy as I thought it would. Safe to say that is my current max, I thought I might have another 10-15 in me but I didn't even try b/c anymore than that and I would of been pinned for sure. Overall I guess I am happy. Still at the same max I was before I started cutting.
 
315 is very nice bro. I've only done it a hand full of times in my life; it felt like a mac truck the times I did do it. Great job!!
 
fuk i been busy, still haven't had time to do max squats, gonna do deads to just to see where I am at. probably goign to get them in tomorrow

Not much but I am working on it :) At first I was 192lbs @ 18% BF. I am now sitting at 195lbs @ 13%.


Original Bench: 245 x 1
Original Squat: 295 x 1 (shaky and probably not even close to being a legit lift)
Original Dead: 365 x 3 (guesstimate as I haven't tested those in awhile but that was last I had in the log book

old totals --- 905ish lbs

then almost 7 months later down below......

New Bench: 315 x 1
New Squat: 335 x 1 (alot smooter and plenty deep)
New Dead: 405 x 1

new totals --- 1055lbs

Regular lat pull down bar, I just grab it about a tad wider than shoulder width which on this bar is right before the ends start to bend down
