Hopefully the damage to the lobe is not so great that your vision is permanately messed up. I dont know the damage, but one of my friends had a seizure one time and fell and banged the back of there head on the floor and the brain hit the skull and bruised. Now his vision was pretty messed up but when the bruise healed his vision came back 100%. I hope this is not permanate for you.

Hey bro not sure where you live but I wanted to mention to you a eye care facility that is amazing. A while back I was diagnosed with a eye disease that slowly pushes your cornea increasing a bad stigmatism and I researched and researched for the best... Luckily for me the best was real close.... Its a place called Wills Eye Center in Philadelphia. All they do is specialize on things with eyes and are truly some of the best. They helped me out a lot. Not sure if this could help you or not but if want a second opinion they are very very highly regarded.

Im in NorCal Bro...any good guys iyt here u know of?.......thanks,,,,,,,Z

Sorry to hear this brotha......With the attitude you have, its only a matter of time before you start to recover......Keep up the positive outlook and only positive will come...

Yes, it could have been worse I imagine. However, you have all your faculties. I've pushed the envelope like you and many others but sometimes the cards just simply fall a certain way without our control regardless of the lifestyle or precautions taken.

I've known you to be an extremely private person over the last near decade. But I do know that you're a very determined person. That in itself will aid you most likely into making a full recovery akin to Kevin Everett.

Make yourself try to use the things that aren't working. My wife's younger brother was born brain damaged. They told his parents to institutionalize him saying he'd never walk and be able to function. Instead they did what was called "patterning" three times a day which required five people. Four people moved a limb and the fifth turned his head. He was eventually able to walk, run, ride a bike, shoot hoops and has deadly aim with a baseball.

You're young and strong and will overcome this in the long run with perseverance.

From a man who has seen tragedy for most of his life I can say that man is not made to be down for long.
The body has ways to overcompensate from injury.

I got hit in the head by a small refrigerator thrown from the neighbor's deck (12' high) during a frat brawl years ago. Almost broke my neck and I have a permanent 4 1/2" crease in my skull about a 1/4" deep. Got 11 stiches to sew my scalp back together. Got hit in the frontal left lobe. I was dazed and confused for years. Short-term memory was shot. Many things came and went in life but I didn't give up. That was in 1993.

Just finished my second Master of Education degree in December 2007. So I lived to overcome and you can too.

Remember, even though brain cells don't regenerate like other cells in the body, theorists state we only use about 10% of our brains. It might take awhile but once you rediscover other ways to accomplish things you will see positive changes.

Thanks for you honesty. It took a lot of guts to admit this. Good luck.
