Got back yesterday, had a blast.
Overall impression.
It's a MUST SEE if you are a fitness junkie like me.
But beware, the crowds are large and parking scarce, especially on Friday when the garages are full of the working public.
It was nice to see some of the womens prejuding on Friday, a lot of the competitions (martial arts, etc..) are on Saturday.
You cannot be claustrophobic. It's like the floor area of a rock concert with general admission.
There are traffic jams around the MetRX and Animal booths whenever demonstrations are going on.
If you are taking your kid, go friday early and stay as long as you can stand it. You'll have to put them on your shoulders almost all day Saturday to get around and not get them squished.
Had fun, would go again sans child for more coverage.
I must add that the vast majority of the pro's there are very nice and will take the time for a quick picture and chat if they can, even if they are in a hurry, they are not rude about it.
Overall the people are nice, there to have fun, and enthusiastic. But there are the freaks there too.
There were women that said hi to my little girl with voices deeper than most men and 5-o'clock shadow at 1pm too. Silicone and all.
We couldn't afford tickets to the night shows, but the expo was huge, 600 booths and thousands of people.
If you get the chance, go see it at least once.
Here's me and the little one with Dorian Yates, who's doing the front dbl bi, Yep, the little ham herself
