The Fatness

I agree with UD on the goals. Start with 20 lbs. Then you reach that and then you set your eyes on another 20 lbs. You reach that and then you set your eyes on another 20 lbs. and so forth.

It IS possible, but you have to believe in yourself.
and dont beat yourself up. saying "the fatness" and that talk to yourself doesnt help.
work hard. it all comes down to how bad you want it.

Its my screwed up sense of humor...

Set your goals small, that way you keep yourself motivated. One large one will seem impossible and you will eventually stray from your motivation.

Make it so taht the small goals will become one large one.

And it is possible to lose that weight. A buddy of mine lost over 100 pounds in about 9 months or so. Don't make June an absolute deadline. Try more like by the summer of 2008.

And as far as the fatness remark.. that does develop self esteem issues, unless you are me, and I thrive on being one fat bastard at a whooping 275 lbs... but that is me. It keeps me motivated on losting fat and such....

Right now I am 6'2'' tall and weight 288 my goal is 220 by June. So my goals are similar to yours and I know for damn sure that it is reachable if I stick to a routine and don't cheat myself.

I have already lost a good amount of weight but am just not satisfied. That is what drives me besides the fact that I want to join the military. Keep it up bud but don't let me or anyone else to tell you that cause that has to come from you.

Here is also another tip, DON'T always look to the scale. in weight watchers, that is what you do weekly.. but what you can do is tell them to not tell you whether or not you lost gained or what not. ask them to say good or bad, not how much or anything like that. LOOK at mirrors. TAKE a picture every two-three weeks. Compare them that way. The pictures and looking in the mirror will help you focus on certain parts that need a little more work then others. if you think your shoulders are lacking but your back is not, then do a few more reps or one or two more sets for the shoulders and not do so much for your back, like drop a rep or two. That way, you will always see the difference, not by looking at the scale and such. It will be possible to lose weight that way, and remember, muscle weighs more then fat. So, you might want to do more in the higher rep ideal with decent weight, and less rest in between sets. Or tone or however you want. Me? I am all out, so if I get heavier then I am, and see that it looks like I am thinning out, I am doing what I want to achieve. It looks at the moment that I will most likely sit at 260+.. and I still look thinner then I did at 245 (give or take a few pounds), I just looked smaller.. haha. People that see me everyday have noticed the difference, swear that I weigh in at like 220's or so, Until I step on a scale...

Remember, anything is possible.
