The Gate Keeper

It's harder to find decent employment once out of work. My brother had problems with his supervisor mostly because he is a PIA nudge type and arrogant. So instead of aggressively pursuing another engineering job while in his last job he took early retirement, which amounted to 1/2 pay. He has been struggling but manages to get some contracting work. His problem is his personality, lack of motivation and approach.

I think you're doing the right thing. Sounds like you are being aggressive. Sometimes the gatekeepers are necessary especially in positions where there will be a lot of applicants.

Don't change who you are, give the answers that fit the situation, don't try to guess at what he wants to hear.... that way, if you get the job, you both have an honest understanding of each other... if you kiss ass now you will likely be in that position (ass kissing) for quite some time

Glyco is right....tough now to be outta work....just last week my company announced 250 to layoff starting next week...

hell be aggressive...hope you get it...just mind the Ps and Qs to get the job...sounds ad if you got a damn good chance if your going back for the second time....

best of luck...

This thread reminds me of the time I had to bang a hot secretary to get a meeting with the executive sales target I had. Back in those days i would do anything for a buck.
