The Myth

Guy was a BB ICON and legend by far. I'll have to watch when I get home:) Thanks!

I wish they had a vid of him working out in his prime as compared to when he was older. In the vid I posted, it has him doing his entire workout split, which he uses very light weights (but is 40+ y.o.). I've read in his prime he could bench 405 for 20 reps. How true I dunno, but he was supposedly crazy strong. Arnold said when he worked out with him, he started his workout with 10 sets of benches and pullups just as a "warm-up". His proportions are ridculous. A guys silhouette tells it all - and his was sick. That's something the guys in recent years do NOT have.

His workout split is crazy. Doing chest/back/shoulders one day and arms only the next, followed by legs & abs the next. Hell arms day could almost be considered an off day compared to the aforementioned, being arms is such an easy workout relatively speaking. I'd be curious if he did that crazy split in his prime also. I guess not much crazier than Arnold hitting chest & back in the morning then legs at night. Man those guys back in the day WORKED! Platz once said he worked out with Arnold and after 3 weeks he felt dead & overtrained. Viator said Arnolds pre-contest split would kill most guys. So is it coincidence that two of the best physiques of all time both hhappened to be workaholics?
