HotRocks, You're right...I'm sorry. When I left a few months ago (priorities) there was a lot of bickering going on between members. When I came back a lot of those same members were either banned or had chosen to leave. Of most those members to leave I say, good riddance. But we lost a couple of truly influential members. Sadie and Oly just to name a few.
The thread started with a video and has taken a very productive turn. And then, as usually happens, someone says something stupid. And a domino effect begins. And soon, the thread will be reduced to a heap of rubble that will ultimately be locked.
We lost these members due to some fucking internet heroes. Assholes who taunted and bullied members until they left. This board is only about half as active as it was six months ago.
I think we have to practice some restraint (me included). Before we respond or even post, we need to step back and think about the repercussions of our discussions. The fact is no one is going to kick my ass through a computer screen, no one is going to spend the money to hop a plane come to my home and teach me a valuable lesson on proper internet etiquette. So when a person says "Don't test me" or some other equally asinine statement, what their really saying is "I don’t have the depth of mind to realize that I will almost certainly never meet this person, thus, my ramblings have become a disillusioned fa?ade, one in which every one else is able see through, except me". A battle of wits can not be won on the internet, plain and simple…so why bother.
I would like Sadie to come back. It was because of a couple of cocksuckers, please excuse the expression, that she left originally. I would like to call them out, but, out of respect for Sadie, and because of the reasons I’ve stated above, I’ll practice some restraint. I believe; however, that members who persistently attempt to start trouble on the board should be warned and then banned, no questions.
