Had one come through Central Texas last night, still no power or water..... I am not from here so it was news to me. I was lying in bed last night in my RV that I travel with and an alert popped up and read "seek shelter immediately". I don't claim to be the smartest man in the room but what I do know is that tornadoes and trailer parks are a terrible combination. As such, I took my dog and headed to the underpass about 2 miles away. Called the wife back home on FaceTime and we videoed through the whole thing. Probably 20 other vehicles under there with me. So yeah, I suffered minimally but the guy up from me had a tree in the living room. Anyway, Texas......

I'm sure that was a little terrifying, I literally just watched one on the news tear through a trailer park, multiple casualties, pretty sad. Good thinking on your part to go to an underpass. Glad you're ok!

I don't think it actually touched down here, don't know about anywhere else but here I think it just went over. I travel with an RV because I don't sleep well in strange places. This keeps me out of hotels and apartments where people make a lot of noise at odd hours and cause you to want to smash them. So I travel around from place to place and pull my RV. I fly back and forth home.

I feel your pain bro. We got hit with one that was an E-1 tornado Thursday evening. The rotational winds were 100mph and it went through our yard. Huge trees look like someone ripped them in half and tossed them all over the yard. We got lucky and had no apparent roof damage but neighbors did and pieces of their roof are in our yard. Lots of damage in Houston and almost 1 million people were with out power. Almost 3 days now and we still have no power. My wife and I decided a few years back to install a Generac whole house generator and we are the only ones in miles that have power I just had shoulder replacement surgery Tuesday so I can't get out and even clean.

We had 3 of them yesterday in Pittsburgh, and I think two more a few days ago. That doesn’t happen here. I don’t think they did much damage but it’s still very odd to have them here, especially so many in so few days.

Yeah I saw that same storm go past but I was in the area where the red and orange meet. It wasn't bad here but I know the storm you mean brother. Glad you guys are ok cause it had me worried for a spell also.

My HOR is in NE Ga so I feel your pain on that. When I was a younger man I had one tear down a building we were in. Hid in the middle bathroom, whole building was replaced and that was less than pleasant.

Yea, it sucks but that is what happens when you live by the coast. I lived in Houston most of my life and have been through upwards to of 20+ hurricanes and tropical storms, floods, tornadoes, high winds you name it. Went to live in South Florida and is was just as bad. You just have to prepare for a disaster and be ready. We got a whole house generator and it has been running for 4 days. Aside from the noise, we are doing well. I just need someone to come cut up these trees in my yard and get rid of them. The only people who panic are those who have moved here from the north and think every thing is the same. Georgia gets some damn nasty weather too.

Speaking of hurricanes…. I had motorized hurricane shutters installed on our place in Mexico, I’m way too excited about those things lol. Living at the ocean in the Caribbean though I think you’re asking for it eventually if you don’t have them. Just had to share how overly excited I am about those things

Amen! Many people in South Florida have windows like that. I have also seen some in Galveston. Floridians also have roofs that have much less of an inclination and straps that allow for a little wind lift. None of that here in Texas which is why we always have so much damage to our homes. People here are just now starting to invest in home power generators.
