I was reading the side of a Tuna can. I have 12oz can of Tuna. I notice there is 5 servings per can? How do you get 5 servings out of 12oz? Anyway I see the protein is 11g per severing. So 5 servings x 11g 55g of protein? Is this right, does a 12oz can of Tuna have that much protein in it?

remember those servings are based on average people food consumption :) most tuna cans are 6 oz's (170g's roughly, which is the case in Canada) and 30 grams per can, so yes that makes sense for your's if it is 12 oz's.

Thank's A.B that's pretty good 50g from a 12oz can. I could eat 2 can's a day and 2 Protein shakes should give me the amount I need a day.

yeah i have always had tuna in my diet. very easy protein source, just like eggs. only recommendation is the mercury in tuna, stick with chunk light tuna and youll be fine

Hi Rajincajun,
Tin packs came for average food consumption. People who goes to gym wants special diet as they work physically harder than average people.
I have joined gym 6 months before and I am also using IMO.
