US Soldier giving a little pep talk to the Iraqi Police

Thats frustration, sick and tired of our men and women dying for this cause and they refuse to get off their asses and help out by patroling. that was his frustration

Yes Sir...i spent 2yrs over there, so i know his frustration.

I whole heartedly agree with the guy. He goes out and patrols every day now doubt, and see's people in his command die fighting to free a country that it's own government employees won't stand up and fight tp protect.

Frustrated? Hell yes, I don't think words could describe the amount of frustration i would feel.

The problems over there have been going on for centuries and it won't change overnight or anywhere in the near future.

Does that soldier really believe that his interjection with the F-Bomb (whether the translator relayed that or not) would make an impact? Did he truly believe that he would get an honest answer from them as to whether or not they were member of the Mahdi Militia?

Perhaps chastising them as "women" which is truly a slap in the face in their culture may have had an impact but the profanity and questioning if they were Mahdi Militia would not have.

In my opinion, they've had fighting between rival religious, tribal and regional factions over centuries and it won't change in my mind in any of our lifetimes.

I originally questioned our War on Iraq based on those premises. If we aren't left with a major hand in the goings-on of Iraq and don't have bases, much less access to cheap oil, then what was the point? True, Saddam needed to be ousted and/or eliminated but this could have been accomplished by any number of means other than the taxpayers funding it to the extent it was funded.

Let's not forget FDR and his bringing us into war with Japan. Is it possible that Bush Jr., and his cronies brought us into war with Iraq for certain agendas? Absolutely, in my mind.

This video to me is minuscule in relation to the big picture of things. That's just my opinion though.

Bro all politics aside this was just about a guy who doesnt make policy, he follows them, blowing off the steam valve a little bit due to his frustration.

What sucks is that this guy could get reprimanded for that especially now that Obama is in office. Hell, We got in trouble for feeding our EPW's the MRE's that contained pork cause they were muslim, they didn't know the damn difference, they couldn't read english and since they never had pork they didn't know what it tasted like, when a bleeding heart liberal BBC reporter reported it we got in alittle trouble, total bullshit.

Unfortunately, his "blowing off the steam valve" doesn't make him convincing to the Iraqis or give him credibility in my opinion.

But that's why here in the U.S., we're still dealing with multiple racial issues. People like the KKK now known as the White Nationalists along with many other groups "blowing off the steam" as they do screaming their obscenities at one another and not really having a clue about what it's all about.

There is always someone "bigger and stronger" than you are but what does it boil down to? Intelligence. Those with the intelligence and subsequent technologies ultimately win don't they, at least for the short term? There is one group in particular that has very adept at overcoming the odds strictly on their intelligence and have been extremely successful at it for centuries minus a few setbacks. But I won't delve into that.

With a son in U.S. Army who is in Tal Afar close to Mosul and driving an MRAP for his commander, some of you may not want to know his opinion on the hierarchy of the military and the mindset and abilities of most in that branch of the service.

He follows the rules and regulations to the "T" but has a deeper understanding of the true realities in life.

So I'll stand by opinion about what is "right" concerning not only the military but in life itself.

again this is nothing to do with right and wrong he is fucking frustrated just like my brother and uncles who all served over in iraq and afghanistan feel. It isnt cool the way he is acting in my opinion and i would probably beat his ass into the ground for being a tough guy in two seconds flat. but i can see his frustration and would let him spout off if he needed to so he could relax after and continue doing his job. so again it is about him blowing off steam

So what are debating reps? His need to "blow off steam" or should he be strong enough and intelligent enough to get the job done initially in addressing the "recruits" appropriately and instill in them their own desire to do the right thing. What is it truly all about?

unintelligent as u may think he sounds I believe he actually got a message through to them by the end of the formation

I thought he sounded good and may have got his point across. Hell, just yesterday a militia man dressed as an Iraqi policeman killed two of our troops....

I agree that he got his message across but I also believe that the translator may have left out translating the every other word use of the F-Bomb and he got his message across by challenging their gender identification, courage and getting in their face.

When both my kids joined and came home on leave, ever other word was F this and F'in that. I let them know in a hurry to stop it and realize the truth behind the phrase "profanity is the result of a weak mind trying to express itself forcefully".
===========================

Gator, I know what you mean about the hidden dangers of insurgents infiltrating the Iraqi military. I check it every day and get a just a little anxious hoping that here lately, with the bombings of small groups of soldiers in Mosul, that it isn't my kid. He makes regular missions into Mosul.
