So it's a big anniversary for me and my wife and I need some advice on where to go. I'm willing to spend 5-6K on this trip. I'd like to hear some places you guys have been.

I took choke's advice and looked at Costco, so I'm leaning towards that I just kinda need a destination idea.

My wife said I need to set this up because she is so busy with her stuff. I'm not sure she would like a New Mexico elk hunt so I better pick somewhere warm and sunny because she wants something tropical for November/December.

I spent 8k on my honeymoon at Sandals in Negril. All inclusive, swim up lagoon suite. Full stocked and replenished in room bar. 2 butlers assigned to us. We were each given a cell phone with 3 numbers; main office and each butler for 24/7 on call service for absolutely anything we asked for (even if it was something questionable off the resort).

They reserved cabanas, beach huts, beach beds, lounge chairs, kayaks, snorkel, sail boats, etc. All at our immediate disposal whether we used it or not. No one else could use them. People would be so pissed when they tried to lay in our spot and the butlers would escort them away, lol.

We wanted and worked for nothing! It was worth every penny.

Those commercials about the Sandals Resorts always look pretty cool.

Go to Poland & visit your roots.

This is a trip only I'll take my wife doesn't know her nationality because her dad's biological father cut out before he was born...funny how the nut don't far from the tree.

I hear ya. I would like to visit there one day before I kick the bucket.

Just got back from Cozumel. Very nice and relaxing. Stayed tat the presidents it was awesome. Cozumel is a small island so wouldn't stay crazy long. Also been to Costa Rica and it's great. Lots of adventures but harder to get to the beach and stuff.

Take her to Rome. Lots of sites to see. A lot you can do right from the Metro. Barcelona, Spain is a popular destination. Paris France also a lot to see and accessible by Metro. If you want to do Something in europe look into Airbnb. You can stay at an apartment a lot cheaper and it gets you more into the atmosphere of the area. Usually you can work it out with the owner to have someone come in and clean for you and point out a local laundry if you want your stuff cleaned. I prefer to travel like this. You can get to know some locals and culture that way and maybe even pick up some of the language. If you want to stay US San Francisco is nice but stay out of the Tenderloin district.

Yea, Rome/Italy is hard to beat if you are trying to score romantic points. I know you guys live in the minus degree weather, so stuff like Alaskan cruises are probably out since she wants to more than likely be in the sun. I've never been anywhere except the USA and Mexico, so I don't have a lot of experience like others would.

I personally would do something where you have two weeks and fly into a place like Milan and do some tours around Europe where you hit Prague, Berlin, etc. that's just me. You can hit up some beautiful places in Italy and southern parts of the continent and also get in some major cities. Well spent 6000

take her on a cruise, 7 or 8 day .Stay in the Extended Balcony suites . Go to the Caribbean .
The old lady and go every year to the Caribbean.

Isla Rotan "Mahogany Bay " is beautiful clear water , sun shining .
St Martin or St Thomas are both very nice also
Grand Cayman islands is very nice water and safe
Belize is dirty but some of the best snorkeling in the world, very poor economy .
Cozumel was fun if you want to party .

Dominican Republic "Punta Cana" we stayed for 7 days at the Barcel? Bavaro Beach club all inclusive adults only last year and it is amazing ,tons of food and drinks , water is clean and clear . If you want solitude and peacefulness this is the trip to take her on .

We did Punta Cana all inclusive last year. Definitely recommend it for the cost. Sandals all inclusive in Negril was orders of magnitude better BUT it's also equally as expensive.

We stayed at the Princess (one of the top adult resorts) and it was less than $2k for a week including flights. Crazy cheap. Those locals working at the resort bust their asses nearly 24/7 to accommodate you. Great time. Decent food. Endless drinks.

Fiji Islands. You can snowboard down a giant sand hill there too.
