I'm officially going through a divorce. My wife told me some really hurtful things tonight. Things I won't ever be able to shake and that she wanted a divorce. I'm sorry to rant on here but it was honestly the most hurtful stuff I have heard. It hurt me a lot. I have never been through this before. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't crying right now. I know many of you don't know me. Like I said I'm sorry to rant on here, I know many of you have more life experience than I do. So any advice would be really helpful. Sorry again. Just struggling.

Look fella, Sorry to hear of your divorce but take it from me....Your better off .
I have been married twice and divorced twice.First marriage was several years the second marriage was 8 years .Either way they both ended and it was for the better .
As far as the hurtfull words you've heard ,well that's called anger and divorce ., In divorce there are no winners and you will see a true womans anger and feelings come out .They are pure evil ,cold hearted walking vagina holders is what they are.
The best advise I can give you without knowing you is this ,,,,,,,Shave your face , find some nice jeans and a nice clean shirt, Go straight to the bar and hit on some strange pussy and take it home and tear it up and you will forget all the other issues with the divorce.
In all seriousness. Divorce is a hard thing to endure,there is never any nice in a divorce and as I mentioned there are no winners,
If you have kids it makes it more difficult and will cost you support until there out of college...
Not sure where you live , or how old you are but suck it up buddy ,its just a woman and there are thousands out there and there all wanting snuggled and rode hard.

She has a son that I haven't adopted. And I appreciate the advice. I think that is the one thing I havent done since all this has been happening is go out at all. Ill have to do that for sure. I'm over being treated like this anymore honestly.

Good to know sir. My wife is going to be more concerned with what % of my business she is going to try and take. Thats all she is going to care about and which vehicle she can take as well. Some women (not all) are fucking evil.

My wife hates me and wants me to die. Except she wants me to live so I can pay her. Christmas time for her would be a life insurance payout, the perfect ending for her covering all the bases.

I've been through this a few times, imo best thing is to get it over with asap and don't look back.
 
I gotta ask this, what did she say?? Was she cheating on you? I can look past lots of things trust me on this and you can ask my therapist darkness too. By cheating I can't look past.
 
She told me I was a bad father and husband to her and her son. That I only cared about business and nothing else. She wants me to make more money than her but not work as much as I do to provide. And because of my working all the time and recent health issue with low test and increase in insulin usage I have gained weight which she has told me has changed her attraction to me. She said that there were better options for her than me.

Sorry bro but that shit is fucked,,, tell her then to hit the bricks cuz she is ungrateful you are doing this for her and HER son you are a good man and deserve better. I know this is hard but from what you just said right there she is very shallow person imo! Good Luck bro

Jesus Christ it sounds like this was in her mind for a long time. And how the fuck can she say your a bad father?! You adopted a kid that wasn't even yours!! BTW get a good lawyer I bet you can prevent child support on that if you push it. Please don't take this wrong but it sounds like she is only about money and physical looks you might be better off without her gold digging ass. I wish you lived by me i would take your ass to a strip club and get you laid.
 
Honestly I believe you'll feel better about yourself if you behave like an adult. I'm not saying be a door mat, I'm just saying I'll bet you recover emotionally faster if you not engage in things outside your character. Keep your head up.
 
Use that hurt, hit the gym with your insulin and test replacement shots, get ripped, rub her face in it while you sport around a 20-something year old hot little thing, and slowly become a millionaire!
That's what I would do.
 
Thanks guys. It is really hard. To hear those words come from her mouth I was completely crushed. I've worked my ass off to build a business and get her everything she could possibly want. I dont look the greatest Ill admit that, the insulin usage has effected my weight pretty negatively but as of recent Im down to just over 18% BF and 232lbs. I think the worst part is I love her son. But I feel like hes going to end up being a bargaining chip down the road. This shit is tough plus she asked me to leave the house so the last couple nights I've been somewhat homeless. I guess the plus side to this is that its a harsh eye opener that its probably time I leave. I do have intentions to get lean and ripped though for myself. My goal to rub in her face will be building the business she didnt want me to start into something huge.

Use your circumstances to propel yourself forward. Don't let them become a weight that drags you down.
 
Bro it's easier said than done, but you gotta do this: don't let your happiness or YOu be defined by anyone, wether you love them or not, wether they love you or not. All growth that amounts to much comes from pain, so it's ok to hurt a while. A while. Then fuck it. Be the guy you want to be without her. That guy will be even better most likely.
 
On my 3rd marriage and they say divorce is expensive... It's worth every penny.

One thing i'd suggest, and it has already sort of been mentioned by the other guys here, is to not show any weakness to her. People (women in her case) have a tendency to take advantage of those who are already down to make themselves feel better. Act like it is no big deal (even though I know it is killing you), and she will realize that she cannot be mean anymore and cannot feed off that negative energy. If she does, just laugh it off. That said, stay away from her, and if I were you....i'd have somebody with you at all times while you are around her. If she is only in it for money and material possessions, then I wouldn't put yourself at risk of her digging deeper by playing dirty. I'd also recommend having some sort of recording sound device with you if you can do it...catch her at her own game and use it against her...especially if she is cheating on you.

I'm sorry you are going through this, no need to apologize for anything on this post, we've all been through it, trust me, I have for sure (not divorce, but break-ups)....iron brothers should always stick by one another and be supportive, but honost in some situations.

That said, all of this is advice I know is harder said than done, i've been through it a few times myself. Just remember you are your most sacred possession, not some bimbo who is using you or treats you like shit. If she cared, this wouldn't be happening, and since that is the case, never let anybody put you down. Don't let yourself down either!

I'd suggest writing down 5-10 things you like doing, or things you have wanted to do and never got around to it......and plan them out over the next few weeks, and DO THEM! Keep positiveness in your life, especially right now. Give it time, and each day eventually will get easier. If this is what she wants, stay away from her as much as you can....don't keep putting yourself in the trenches or line of fire to be hurt.

Keep focus on work and the gym, and do things you like. Heck, if you can, leave for the week or weekend out of town....somewhere far where there is a lot of people and activity going on. Don't go somewhere where you are doing nothing, and allow yourself to constantly think of all this. I guess what i'm saying is do things you like and keep busy on a daily basis.

I hate to hear That T1. I dont have any experience or any words of wisdom but i like BMJS Idea. I can only suggest trying something new. It sounds korny but Skeet shooting or rock climbing Repelling anything to be around other guys and stuff that requeres new gear. Always fun to buy new shit you dont need for a hobby.
 
We all have one at home we hate. Yours just decided to cash in because it was a better option than seeing your face every day. Plus she gets a new mission.. to make you miserable.

Sorry about the delay in posting recently. Been couch hopping.

Let me start off by saying I dont know many of you that well but you are all pretty fucking awesome. The advice I have gotten on the board from everyone has been solid and helped. I appreciate you all. So you all know.

Well It kind of sucked at first but I did take all of your guys's advice. I did act like an adult however. I took off for the week, Took my work truck and worked my ass off. Found some new clients that had some collections that needed to be worked on and stayed with friends like suggested. Hit the gym pretty hard. Set a personal best on back too! Did 360lbs on the seated row for a set of four. Then followed it up with Lat row 360lbs set of three. So I'm feelin beasty haha. Despite the weight being the same got the body wave done again and I am down to just over 19% BF now (from 24%) which felt pretty good to hear despite the difficulties of diet being at other peoples houses. Got set up on a blind date which wasnt anything more than dinner and talking but it felt good to get a little attention from the opposite sex without having to pour out money or anything like that. She even insisted on splitting the bill with me which was legit and asked to go out again soon. So I'm ok with that.

I guess all this leads into what Mr. BMJ said. Now my wife is wanting me to come back. She said she was sorry for all the things she's said and that she realizes she has taken me for granted. Its hard with her son (who I look at like my own) involved. I love that little kid despite how much he pisses me off with his mothers same attitude. I honestly dont know what to do about her asking me to come back. Everything she has said to me in the past makes me really skeptical about going back at all. I feel like I was just getting my sea legs back and then this hits. I do love her, just not sure about the being in love part. Sorry for the long post. Never really been in this position before. Any advice would be great. Thanks guys.

That's a tough one. Obviously we can all agree that the previous relationship did not work. So if the two of you are gonna have one, it would have to be one whereby the two of you go to a new place together in terms of how the relationship works.

But what the hell do I know? Taking relationship advice from me would be like calling up The Phillip Morris company and asking for cancer prevention advice.
