what do you think of this Power cage?

i think itll do the job, but check the paper for people selling them first, i saw one in the "bargain box" area that was brand new and only $100

does the bottom cross brace look too low? will it interfere with anything? I want to be able to do rack deads and not sure if it is too low or not. I emailed them for the height of the brace, waiting for an answer

I am not fond of the new york barbells one. I would rather have a full cage, no extra bottom supports so you can do deas or pull off of the rails. I would also rather have a top on it so you can do pull ups, leg raises, stretch, all that other stuff.

I am partial to parabody, solid equipment. I got my stuff for a steal off ebay. do a search within 200 miles of ya and see what pops up.
This is the cage and bench I have. My lat pulldown is seperate from the rack.

has some good racks there, a lot of good products in general.

I couldnt find any open top racks though

Oh yeah, nice site here.

thanks, and welcome, maybe you missed the part about having it in my basement, and LOW ceilings, NY barbell is a good company, most of my home gym stuff comes from there, and has took a hell of a beating

i almost got that 1, but theres more tax or somethin in ny....that + shippin, i found a better deal somewhere else....

but ive always heard great things about ny bb....not only the products, but the customer service as well

If 76" is just right, there are not many the same height. There are some that are 80 in made by powerline. Mine is 82" If you dont have the room do it. I know at elite you can email them and ask about special sizing. They are cool like that.

NYBarbells does have some nice items, freight is killer on some though. good luck.

basement ceiling is 77", so I am not gonna have much choice, I found one I think I am gonna get, talked to them and they said shipping is free

yep after I called them and explained what I wanted, and the height ect....they recommended this one

http://newyorkbarbells.com/92565.html

and freight is included

the main thing I want it for is when my lifting partner can't make it, it is for safety when I am squating benching etc..

Nice rack ... free freight is nice. sumo is a nice size. pins look to be on 1", do it.

the only thing i can think of wrong with it is if you want to do rack deads. depending on how tall you are and the distance between the ground and that solid welded bar
