I am 6 feet and inch 1/2 and I weight about 180 pounds. I am 18 Yrs Old

Do you think it is enough now. I have gained 30 pounds since last year and half..... went from 140-180 after takin tons of supplements and eatin like a pig ... i have a big body frame but always been skinny ..

tell me now. should i gain 20 more pounds to my frame and come up to 200 and then start toning and bodybuilding... or should i start losing NOW .....
i mean start toning up now? and when i do then start bulking up again

I had another question if i start running now ... would i get skinny again .. go back and lose ten pounds or so ...i lose weight too easily but its hard to gain back up ... which is why i avoid running at gym ... is this a big mistake

my body frame i would best describe it as big boned.. when i go to the gym should my main goal be toning up or muscle gain..

i really need some help

im guessin youre fairly lean right now, if so, keep building. youre at prime time to build naturally.

Need pics, bodyfat %, or more info other than just "big boned." 180 at 6'1" sounds pretty skinny to me though.

6' 1.5" and only 180 pounds? I'd definately say keep adding some size. Just do it the right way, i.e. don't try to add size by eating a bunch of shit.

give me some advise j.matrix .. what should i avoid and what i should not ... lately i started again hittin the gym .. i workout four days a week ..
day 1: i do chest
day 2: i did biceps and shoulders
day 3: off
day 4: i will do back, triceps, jog
day 5: will be chest and biceps
day 6: probably rest
day 7: sunday i would do shoulders and run

what do you all think .. i started my vitamins intake again ... i am thinkin about buying the supplemnt Mass Gainer again ... its only 20 bucks and always helps me gain 20 pounds easily ...

so what do you all think ...

I don't know where the bulk cut thing came from unless you are very advanced. Thier is no reason an 18 year old can't gain weight without becoming fat. You can clean up your diet a touch before summer to lose some bodyfat but it sure is not cutting. If you get into the bulk cutting thing at this age you are going to lose a time in your life where you can add some real solid muscle and probably end up not getting anywhere.

Here's a little advice, read through the threads on this forum about training routines and set yourself up one where you'll be training 4 days a week and doing your whole body once a week - legs included!
As you build more muscle, the extra muscle will use a shitload of calories to sustain itself (provided you keep training) and some of these calories will come from stored fat, so you will be leaning up as you bulk, albeit slowly.
Base your diet on quality protein sources - lean beef/steak, chicken, turkey, fish. Quality low glycemic carbs - brown rice, wholemeal bread, sweet potatoes/yams, small jacket potatoes, wholemeal pasta. All vegetables, these give you vitamins, minerals etc and fibre to keep your gut clean and healthy.
Drink at least a gallon of water a day - easier done than it sounds, (have a 1/2 litre of water with each meal, 6 meals/day = 3 litres, there's 3.5 litres in a US Gallon).

Follow this and you'll do fine.

I guess my first question is what do YOU want to accomplish?

If you want to get "big" then eat right and lift heavy.

If you want to get "ripped" for the ladies in the summer then focus on diet, cardio, etc.

Ton's on knowledge on the board, you just need to decide what you want to do

I am afraid that the "baby fat" might turn into 'daddy fat' into a few years if i dont take care of it now........ i think toning until the stomach fat is gone then bulking woudl be a good idea...

Without pics its hard to give you exact-tailored adivce, but IMHO, at 18, 6'1 and 180, I HIGHLY doubt you need to be sweating bullets thinking about your waistline brutha. At 18, now is PRIME TIME to focus on building muscle size and strength! Eat alot of foods like chicken, lean ground beef, steak, fish, tuna, rice, potatoes, pasta, milk, eggs. Also bust ass in the gym and get alot of rest as thats when you grooooooooooow. ;)

p.s - 'Bust ass in the gym' doesnt mean to LIVE there doing endless sets and reps...get in, get er' done and get da fuck out. :D
