What the hell is this?

Ha, yea! really impressive huh? Or at least to the point wherer they thought it was necessary to record it........? Though I really can't see why. It obviously must have been a very heavy weight for him. Where did you get it at? Maybe it is for training purposes.

no, it's just a crappy squat. There would be no reason to do that unless the weight was way to heavy..

yea, thats what im sayin. to train people and show them what NOT to do.

950lbs x 3, or 3 half squats :)

Did you see all the material? GARBAGE. I hate that shit. I am sure he was trying to get use to his suit but just couldnt. HOWEVER, I have seen where that depth would be called good in some IPA and APF meets. Sad but true. Makes me wish I video taped my 890 raw squat. It was probably 1-2" above parallel but still would make this one look very silly.

POWERLIFTING ISNT POWERLIFTING ANY MORE.

I see shit like that and that is part of what makes me uninterested in power lifting, at least to the competitive level. SOME and I mean SOME of the powerlifting meet videos Ive saw makes me just say "what the hell? he didnt even lift the weight all the way!?"

John Bernor has to be one of the strongest guys in powerlifting today, raw or with lifting gear. Has anyone see John's video of him squatting 705x5 with no belt, knee wraps or suit, all below parallel? Anyway, lifting gear has become a big part of competing today. Some say it's sad but hey, 'when in Rome...' John is a good squatter. I'm sure that he was getting used to the suit and needs to get more weight on the bar in order to hit depth. With my suit, I wouldn't hit parallel until I got to 900 or so.

Future, that would have past in the IPA(that's why I'm done with that organization) but not in the APF.
