Who has proudly served their country?

I served 3 years in the Army as M1A1 tanker. I still have a lot of friends that are still active and more than I like over in Iraq. The link that liftsiron posted just reminded me that the men and women serving over there are just like me. I could have been one of soldiers sent over. My best friend is there right now. I was bestman in his wedding 3 months before he left. He's a 2Lt in Baghdad right now. My prayers and thoughts go to the soldiers who serve and die for my freedom...it coulda been me.
 
I was so close to going, gave it three months of thinking and decided not to. Too many good things going for me in my life right now
 
I was in the US Navy, I came close to going, but due to my injury that I received on active duty I didn't go. My prayers go to everyone that is over there and their families.
