I am cautious of viewing my cyber-rights emails on my work PC because if anything goes down, I don't wanna have my work PC be used as evidence to view my emails etc. Should I be safe viewing emails on cyber-rights at work?

I dunno, here is a bump. But if no one answers or knows the answer I would play it safe than sorry and say NO don't use your work to view emails if you fear your boss could read them even if they are cyber-rights emails.

DO NOT OPEN THEM AT WORK, your computer makes a log of everything you do, and is stored in a file deep on the hard drive. the things you view are also encrypted and stored deep in the hard drive....only trained individuals can find those files, but if they do, your a dead man (so to speak)

I agree to an extent. They can view what websites you have visited but they cant view the content of those emails. That is why we all use secured email. It is encrypted so that the contents are not viewable like other emails. Only the corresponding server has the key to unencrypt the file. This is done when you download the email to view it.

yes companies can retrieve any content you view on the internet or e-mail client. The last company I worked for they had me take screen prints of people randomly. The end user never knew that the PC was sending me back pictures of the sites and programs they were running. They would use this info. to fire people! I really didn't agree with this practice but it was their policy. Real glad I don't work there any more!

I usto work at an insurance broker in St Louis. It was horribile, boss was a bitch always fireing someone. She was also having an affair with a consultant. He was the worst IT consultant i've seen in 16 years. Yet they pay him 8000.00 a month for his Retainer. I was told if I couldn't live with illegal software it might be time for me to leave (me being the Network Admin and PERSONALY responsible due to Sorbain Oxlie). I told my boss i'd clean out my desk lol. No way I was going to jail for this Jackass consultant.
