Wow fed ex kinda sucks!

I was dropping off a package to fed ex. The couple in line in front of me was trying to send their grandson his gifts to the Nashville area which keep in mind is only 6.5 hrs from my area and the lady told them it would $30 to package it and to guarantee delivery by Xmas it would be $356 or $706 for that package.

I was floored that's price gouging without a doubt.

Thank god they said no to fed ex. I dropped mine off and was able to catch them in the parking lot and I said to them to buy a box and run over to the post office they are still guaranteeing Xmas deliver and it probably only cost about $50 for priority mail.

Amazing.
 
That sounds incredibly high unless the couple were sending their son a car.

It was a big remote control car for their grandson and yes it was over sized but damn for that kind of money they could've flown it to him.
 
That's ridiculous! Glad you stopped them and gave them good info though...good guy you are:)
 
We use fedex quite frequently, why? I have no idea, poor poor customer service not to mention overnight usually means two day!
 
I was at the post office when they showed up. The post office said it was too big for them, then told the couple to go to Fed Ex.

If it is a nonstandard size the post office won't always take it. If that FedEx clerk is being a dumbass I myself would have asked for the manager.
 
looks like the grandparents that were being gouged should have said scew it ! , and drove there and spent christmas with family !
