Your one stellar lift...

In my early 20s I pulled 550 lbs at 167 lbs. As I put on size my dead never really went up. When in my late 20s and early 30s my BW never went over 210. I benched 405 at 200 lbs and squatted 550 lbs. In my late 20s I military pressed 300 lbs from the rack. I don't push for 1 rep PRs anymore for risk of injury. I work more for hypertrophy and oddly enough in my 40s and 50s I probably put on another 20 lbs of muscle at peak times. Now I'm just on androgel and a little GHRP and trying to keep weight down. 198 this morning. 275 on the bench on Saturday for 8 reps. Not stellar but not too bad for not working it in years. I'm pushing to get down to 185 before I use any AAS.

Every morning when I have to pull my fat ask out of bed I feel like I've just accomplished something great!

I hit 160 x 3 with 7 additional forced reps on lat pulldowns once back in '88.

I did 3 sets of 8 hammer curls with 15 lb chrome dumbbells at Scandinavian Health Spa in '86 when they first opened up. Oh, and the last set included negatives.

I can still place the pin at 5 plates on the Nautilus Leg Abduction Machine

squatted 495 for 2 reps. I weighed around 185lbs at the time and was in my early 40's. Managed to not injure anything and felt really good after. I did see those little black & white spots floating around in my vision for about 30-45 seconds after and they were starting to tunnel in, sort of focusing into a beam. I laid down on the floor and lifted my knees to get blood into my brain and recovered after that. That was as close as I've come to passing out from a lift. I always though that was bullshit, but it was the only set that I've ever felt I gave every single bit that I had. Working hard took a new meaning for me at that moment and I pushed myself a bit more since then.

Mine has to do with lifting, but it wasn't weights.

On a construction site, we got a delivery of this caulk board. The shipping weight was a little over 450 lbs. The thing was the size of sheetrock. 4ft?12ft
I had tweedle dee and tweedle dum supposed to help me... suffice to say they didnt. So I carried it from the street into the building, down the hall and into the meeting room.

rt now im curling 135 for eight reps with bar with good form. Squatting 405 after pyramiding up to it ( ALL THE WAY !DOWN!) FOR 5 REPS ........im curious what my max would be but to be honest I don't care about maxing. Like kai green says..... im not a weightlifter......im a body builder! I haven't maxed anything in about 2 yrss or better.

That right there is nothing short of bad ass!

I pulled 625 off the floor for a single about 5 years ago on a tren cycle, complete with evil laugh at the top of the rep during an elongated hold, then enjoyed with a certain satisfaction feeling the building shake when I dropped it.

My doctor continues to try to fix the damage that was done that day :)

Im like Glycomann, I never max with 1-rep maxes anymore. I usually stick to no-less than 3-5 reps to determine my max. In my mid 20's I was putting up some good numbers. All true, raw lifts with no straps, shirts, sleeves etc (except a belt on squat and dead)

Pressed 425 x 2
Squatted 495 x 4
Deadlift 515 x 1

Anymore, I tend to stick to three plates on bench and four on squat and dead. Hitting a rep-range from 6-12 seems to work best for me in terms of my goals of hypertrophy while maintaining some joint function.

My go-to though has always been the bench press. No matter how I eat or train, I can always press respectably.
