Your thoughts on coffee

How does coffee (and caffeine as well) effect protein absorbtion? Im asking this cause I can get free coffee all day long while at work and if anyone else was in my shoes (trying to add muscle while losing some fat in the process) would you drink it and if so, how much? I have not been drinking cofee well.....ever really because considering it makes me have to crap all the time, I thought it might increase my metabolism to the point where my body doesnt have time to properly absorb the protein Im feeding it, before it gets excreted. Im not sure if that is possible however. Any advice?
 
I have a tiny 4 cup coffee maker. Depending on what I going on I just have the one pitcher of coffee in the morning. It does stimulate the metabolism BUT moderation for EVERYTHING is important. Dont drink too much. It will mess up your digestion of everything. Plus it will stimulate too much adrenaline with causes some issues from cortisol accoding to Chris Aceto.
 
oh ok, intersting. good to know now. What would you consider TOO MUCH though?
 
Too much is probably what you are doing now! I wouldnt drink more than 4 literal 8 oz CUPS in a day. DRINK WATER!!!
 
I hardly ever drink coffee. when I do I crap all day long. Im not a regular coffe drinker whatsoever.
