I GOT A STORM COMING 2 DAY... IS THE BLACKBERRY WORTH THE EXTRA 29.99 FOR THE DATA PACKAGE?

Storm sucks dude I went through three of them and finally had to talk verizon in to letting me downgrade to a curve they wanted to keep giving me more stroms lol. I also know a girl that is on her second storm. If you are able to get the tour thats what I would get. THe tour is getting great reviews. Its not touch screen but atleast it works. My phone would turn speaker phone on by itself, freeze, go so slow I couldnt answer calls, the screen would turn white and it would look like tv snow so I had to pull the battery. I actually had to pull the battery a couple times a week so it would reboot. As far as the data plan I think you HAVE to get it through your carrier but Im not positive

I have the Curve and it's great. I'm with USNCTT, if you can, go with the tour or the Curve. And if you plan on doing a lot of web browsing then it might be worth to get the data package.
 
well shit i already ordered it... my friend has 1 and is happy with his...

i only paid 50.00 for it... so its not a big deal...
 
Definately get the data plan. It will save you from astronomical cell bills! You don't wanna have to be paranoid about even using the device. It is so easy to rack up the bill without it. All cell companies since their inception have been huge criminal interprises. They want contracts to lock you in regardless of how shitty service is(your legally bound), have sales reps who tell you wtf ever , have all these hidden costs that pop up from nowhere and the bill is NEVER what they say it is going to be! To dispute bills you can go through their long drawn out automated billing and try your best to talk to a human. But the only real way to combat ever occuring over charges is by going in to Verizon. Just plan on taking about 3 hours to stand in line and then another hour to dispute the injustice that's occured. I've always hated ALL cell phone cos. But the introduction of smart phones have paved a whole new way for them to fuck the customer.
 
There is no point in having it without the data plan imo

I have the 8900 and really like it
 
had the storm i hated it so I went back to 9630 verizon lets you have a trial period for 14 days so see if you like it or not. You can always get a standard blackberry before the 14 days trial period is over... But def get the data plan either way there is no point in having a blackberry without it
 
i love my blackberry curve i am always on the thing
 
Im never buying a touchscreen phone again their trash..


I got the tour now and its awesome.
 
I LIKE MY STORM SO FAR... A BIT FRUSTRATING.... BUT I WILL LIVE FOR 50.00

i have had the storm for almost a year. when it first came out there were problems and folks that were weaned on keypad blacberries had a hard time i currently i love it as does my wife and two sons. you have to have the data plan or it is useless, hell it saved my ass last night with ther free app google maps, i was i chicopee and needed to get out, all i did is fire up google maps, showed me street level where i was and blam, down the road! :) could it be better, sure but as it is it does a decent job. for $50 if it can be unlocked, i will take it off your hands, :)

i love this phone... only think annoying is the occasional key pad error... but since i have gotten use to it the mistakes are few and far in between... i dont see why people give the storm a bad review... its great
