never heard of this deloading as nessary ? recently I keep reading articles talking about a deload time , can somebody tell me what this is and why we need it ?

Are you referring to people training at a frenetic pace for about 3 weeks and then, backing off on the intensity?

Some people take a week and do just high rep, low weight training for the week. Some people really need to do this more than others. If you do a lot of shaking while lifting heavy might be a sign of needing deload. In my opinion the best deload training also uses band resistance instead of just dropping the weight.

It's not a bad idea if you're PLing of doing pretty intense heavy weight training for BBing purposes.

I haven't done it in quite a while. I'm still alive.

I have a deload program based on percentage of max intensity for the phase I'm in.

it depends on training usually. probably more used for pl. honestly unless your working with percentages regardless of how you feel its prob not too big of a deal. usually your body will naturally do a deload if you listen to it

all it really is a lesser amount of volume and/or weight for a set amount of time, usually a week. helps body recover from wear and tear of heavy lifting which usually affects joints ligaments and tendons more than anything.

I wish I heard of deload years ago when I was going heavy to the max all the time until my body brokedown , shoulders , back , hip I'm still tryin to get my game on one more time before i'm too old ..lol
