divorce...

My college loan repayment came in yesterday,
my wife saw how much I owed and suggested we get a divorce
right in front of our two girls (age 2 and 7),
"So," as she said, "I don't get stuck paying for it!" WTF?
I've been working since I met her.

The kids have been crying for "daddy" ever since.
Well, time to go for that suburban school job,
hope for a 10 to 15K raise!

BTW: Anybody know a good divorce lawyer?

sorry to hear that bro..just try and make a good life for the kids..its tough with divorced parents..atleast it was for me.

Yeah, here's the kicker...for over a year we've been talking about another baby.
This was one of my responses to her: "I can't believe this, I've been taking clomid for over a year now so we can have a baby. For a year you wanted a baby, now you want a divorce, just like that. Boy, that's nice, reeeal nice!"
The worst part is both our other kids were conceived in March, I'm all prepped, and she just finished her period 4 days ago.
My hands are in the air. Instead of rambling and saying something I regretted, I just went to the computer and started typing papers for school.

life can be surreal sometimes, I have been blindsided before, not in this exact manner, but sometimes it can just leave you feeling stunned and saying to yourself... what the fuck?

That?s pretty selfish of her to say that right in front of the kids! I've been through a divorce once and I don?t wish it upon my worst enemy. Did you take out the school loan before you guys got married? I know divorce laws are different in each state, here in California it?s a no fault state and everything is fifty fifty! I hope you guys can work things out for the sake of your kids. Unfortunately her suggesting you guys get a divorce just because of the amount you owe on your school loan sounds like an excuse, I'm sure it's something else :(

She's always talking about this guy at work. She's a scientist. Only thing is the guy is married with four kids??
Her parents are always at our house, Mon thru Fri, watching the baby, the tv, and anything else they can find.
There's so much subterfuge in this place I can't hear myself think sometimes.
I think her parents are loaded. I never really cared, especially since he's probably got the first penny he ever made. Cheap as dirt. She wanted my genetics for the kids, the rest, I guess, she see's as expendable.
In part, I have seen this coming, that's one of the things which helped fuel my desire to get a teaching certification these past 6 years. And the days roll on...but meanwhile, I now have 2 Master's, 7 years exp, and am certified in 2 HS Sciences and K12 Special Ed. The loan and child support though, will be $1500 a month for 20 years!
Oh yeah, and I have a 10 year old son to another woman, something she never got over.
 
damn man that is crazy.. same shit happend to my uncle. Nice woman married him for his penis and genetics then bolted right after the baby was born. He hasnt had a job since.
