But I don't get it..lol..when your arms go up over your head, what happens then? Obviously you have to unlock your elbows and kinda bend your arms? Is that it?

nope that's the point keep your arms locked. If they want to bench they need to be further apart. The towel lets you bend your wrist. Also my shoulders would start to burn after like 15

Alrighty then... well the board won't let me attach the picture of the stretch, but I did just email it to ya.
If you have therabands available, try it with that first to get an idea of how it will feel. It is a great stretch for a lot of muscles - it isn't really that magical, it just really gets things moving. In a lot of people their shoulder issues come from tightness in the pecs and a slightly forward shoulder posture. That exercise helps to correct both parts of that issue. I do it myself - well I used to... now it would just help tear things more if I did it.

EDIT: deleted the vicki pictures from my journal... now i have space to put up the stretch ;) So here ya go!

;) I figure this way all of your fans can have it too when they read your journal.

I did cardio x 40 minutes in the a.m. (on the 15th) geez, this is gettin monotonous :(

Thanks Aaron. Seeing that's all I can do now, I can't slack off or my boo-tay will be draggin on the ground. Not a pretty sight :D

No cardio since Thursday. I had a crappy, crappy time since Thursday night. I am feeling pretty low right now. I have that work issue on my mind. hopefully it'll be resolved before the end of the week. I am a very good nurse, I made one little mistake (not life threatening by no menas!!! But they make you feel liek a fucking criminal) Plus my shoulder and BOTH knees were so bad yesterday. My doctor's office called and he wants to see me about my x-ray. In layman's terms, my knee had given out..LOL..it's a mess really. I will start acupuncture on it this week. I have no idea how it's gonna hold out when I start training again. I may not get to compete this year- I am frightened to death that'll be the case.

Thanks guys.

Cardio this morning x 40 minutes. Also did some cable work for legs.

Cardio this morning x 45 minutes. Did some cable work for legs and reverse hypers on the ball.

When I woke up this morning my shoulder was absolutely killing me!!! I must have slept on it a lot although I usually don't sleep on that side. Shortly after I got up, I applied some of the Myoflex cream and it was good. I am trying to use it as little as possible today. That's very difficult as I am right handed. I am using the mouse with my left hand this morning :)

Cardio this a.m. for 40 minutes. I did a few sets of DB squats to get myself ready to start training legs again and get my piece of shit knee warmed up :D

Well, I am sure you're all thrilled beyond belief that I did 35 minutes of cardio this morning.

I'd love to give you a hand ...or 2 with that!:jump:

LOL...I bet you would.

I don't know what the next little while will have in store for me. My knee is getting quite bad. I got a referral today to see the surgeon again to possible have it scoped- again :( Plus with all the degenerative changes that have gone on...I dunno if competion will happen again. We'll see.

No cardio today for me. I woke up and both my shoulder and knee were too bad to do anything this morning.

I'll end this journal here now. No sense in keeping it going. Maybe I'll do another one when I am back to normal. I'll see.

Ok, my hubby talked me into keeping this going. Probably more for his own sanity..LOL..

So the knee felt good this morning. I did 40 minutes of cardio. 20 bike/20 elliptical. Did some ab work.

I get my shoulder injected after lunch. I can hardly wait!

I guess he realizes that speed bumps are there to slow you down...

It's still OFF-SEASON, right?

Go Girl!

I did no cardio yesterday because the gym was closed due to the storm.

35 minutes this morning. 20 on bike, 15 on treadmill.

Ab work- 3 sets crunches on the ball, 3 sets leg raises on bench, 2 sets decline crunches.

My shoulder feels great! I feel great today :)

Cardio this evening x 40 minutes, plus some ab work.

My shoulder feels wonderful since the injection :) I have a physio appt in the am. No doubt he'll start me on some exercises, so I'll be lifting again REAL soon!!!!!

Cardio this morning x 40 minutes.

I can start lifting on Saturday- YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to start out light though to see how things go. I am soooo excited!!! :)

Light lifting on all lifts? Or just watch out for straining the shoulders and knee?

Well, light on just about everything. I haven't lifted at all in 6 weeks, and even though it was my shoulder, almost everything hurt to do. Except some triceps. All shoulder, chest, bicep and back exercises I couldn't do cause of my shoulder. As for legs- well I only lift light with high reps cause I do not want to add any size to my legs. But I know that my knee is going to be bad even with that. I can't even use the stepper. I am just waiting to see the surgeon to have it rescoped and "cleaned up" :(

And, btw, welcome to PB :)
