IMO, it doesn't really matter as long as you EAT and stay dry and full...at this point your work is already done, you just have to remain full, vascular, and dry.

this year might be different...in the past..rice cakes/pb...bananas, jelly, salty chips, wine...the salts, sugar, and wine are mainly before going on stage.

this year I'll have my advisor there to watch my condition and help keep me full....so I will eat whatever it takes...

some like to eat clean...rice, rice cakes, chicken breast, things like this...I guess if you're staying full that way, fine....but I probably won't.

I will fill you guys in on how it goes down this year...

How much anxiety do you deal with? Or at that point are you just like "whatever?"
 
Your diet looks good!

Have you considered long grain brown rice? It would mix things up a bit and is a great complex carb (high in polysacharides-maybe moreso than yams).

I'll be interested in following your progress!

it depends on how I look! lol...in the past, yes I've had anxiety b/c I wasn't happy with my condition and I was really trying hard to make it happen....

but hopefully this year, no anxiety b/c I will be dialed.

yeah the diet has some phases...and I will drop yams and move to brown rice later....stick around and follow the journal with us!

So your conditioning is what really makes you worry? I wondered if being so worn down you just really get mental during that time. I had a friend dieting for the Team Universe a few years ago...she was a mess during that time.

it's the fullness issue....I was too flat and trying to fill up and get vascular...couldn't even get any pump before going on stage....that's anxiety!

but yeah, it's a hard thing...you're so physically and emotionally exhausted that if you're not careful you can really turn into a head case....but I manage to really enjoy show day and take it all in....it's a great time.

I'm sure it is....another reason I really try not to worry....and another reason why I'm trying my best to be inside out by 3-4 weeks out and then concentrate on coming in dialed and full ready to rumble.

Youre a beast fo sho!! I'd be saying my prayers next to you on stage bro...lol. That aint no joke

As for me when it comes to competing, ..i'm a nervous reck the whole time during my dieting phase. I'm constantly analyzing things....seeing if I'm behind or ahead on my diet. I probably shouldnt do that but its hard not to for me. The whole 12 weeks is a headache for me....LOL.
