Hey guys, I am excited to say I'm finally over the 200 mark! while it doesnt seem like much, My long time goal was to see 2 45 plates on the bench press bar, I just think it looks bad ass! And from training, on and off since highschool, my strength would go up, then i would take a summer off and it would never get past about 185. by the way i like to do at least 2 full working sets with my max weight of at least 6 reps. But anyway, I put up 205 yesterday for 2 working sets of 8 reps! I know I could do 225lbs or more for 1 or 2 reps now, but i wanna take it slow and really feel the weight. Maybe next week i'll work with 225 for a set. Looks like I'll have to set another goal sometime soon...maybe 250? that would feel great! Talk to you soon.

Hey thanks man, I know benching 205 dont sound like shit to most people. But give the average joe 225 or even 205 on a bench and i'll bet they would think twice!

maybe in a couple years you'll hit 400 ;) shoot high brother, for the sky

haha! where you been at pit? hows the little lady? yea man 400 seems a bit high I dont wanna get too big now...

Good job! Feels good to reach our goals and then exceed them! Keep going :)

New PBs rock. My own PB is 425 raw and I'd like to beat that shortly, feeling good with no injuries!

we have all been there at one time..keep up the good work and 3 plates will come

can't wait ti lift once again injury free. It feels so weird to be injured for so long and finally one day..no pain. Best feeling in the world....or at least until it happens again in 4 months. If I ever get back up over 450, I'm takin it slowwwwwwww

hard part is, a weight lifter worth his weight in the gym will never train pain free or without injury...after years of abuse, your body just cant take it anymore......I have been lifting since I was 12 yrs...that was 25 yrs ago...and it has always been heavy and hard...

no at my age, I will never get over my shoulder and back popping...never be able to do bent over rows with my back and never do heavy inclines with my shoulders....I can never to shoulder presses.(especially behind the back....bad bad exercise)...but damn in the day, it was fun...now I have to suffer with the pain...and will never be able to do what I use to even at my young age of 37....although I can say, you young uns....take heed..I had poor form on a lot of compound lifts and over trained....I bet if I had proper form and did not over train....things would be different...

19 years of lifting for me, and unlike Ronnie I know I can't do it forever, because I feel it here and there sometimes. Right now I have something going on in my neck/trap region on the left side, kind of a repeat of the past for me.

I have been training a bit more like a bodybuilder to be easier on the bod.
