Pre-workout shake

Do you guys think drinking a shake 30-45min prior to a workout is a good idea?
 
I prefer 40 g of slow realeased complex carb such as oatmeal and a solid protein ( eggwhites) 1 1/2 before my workouts..the shake would go through like water.

I train right after breakfast ,first thing in the morning ..if u think one of those pussy shakes is gonna help u get through one of my monster leg workouts you have no idea what youre in for.

egg whites go thru me faster than a whey shake, mix up 1/2 scoop whey and 1/2 scoop casein, if you dont have time for a solid meat protein. I tried a leg workout after 10 egg white & oat meal breakfast once, left me almost passed out and dizzy as hell!

Exactly..thats why if u go back to my post u can clearly read i mix my eggwhites with a slow realeased -absorbed carb such as oatmeal..when u mix a protein with a complex carb it slows down the protein absorption.

A whey protein shake is the worse pre-workout meal you can have.
 
just eat right and train hard youll get what u expect if aint workin then eat ripped's balls and you'll be jack as hell :D

So do you train right after breakfast or 1.5 later? That makes a big difference as to what is considered pre-wo. 1.5 hours before is just considered another meal imo.
 
breakfast = pre workout meal..eaten 1.5 hr before workout.

pre-workout meal is exactly that "pre-workout meal" whether you eat it .5 0r 1.0 or 1.5
 
preworkout is generally what I consider an NO shake 30 minutes before lifting. If I lift on the weekends I'll eat breakfast, then an NO shake 30min before. :halo:
 
NO shake? u mean pre-workout supp since those dont contain protein.Theyre mostly arginine, creatine ,bcaa and glutamine

No-shotgun v3 contains 16gm per serving along with other aminos. It also contains their redline fatburner which helps wake me up at 5:45a.
 
for the cost of the NO, and all these other shit products, you could eat a can of tuna, a banana and your raw oats for like 1.25 a serving and I guarantee its 100% way better for your foundation building, bodybuilding, cell building and your wallet than some shit grammed out in a factory from vats measuring 10000000 gallon. you wanna be fancy, swallow it down with some creatine mixed with fresh oranges and lemons for a buck a pound.
 
Banana, 1-2 slices whole wheat bread with some peanut butter, 50grams Karbolyn contains bcaas and a shake. 1 Hour before

not sure what you have taken before but just about all of these NO products only cost a buck per serving. I do the tuna and oats afterwards. I lift too damn early and need that boost.
