Protein Shake Question

I'm pretty sure that with the research I've done, I know that if you premake a protein shake with milk the aminos in the milk will break down the proteins. Right? So the question is if I premake a shake with protein, PB, and just use water, I should be fine. Or with the aminos in the PB do the same? I'm just trying to keep from having to buy another blender for work.

Why not just powder in the container, then mix with water and shake at work when you are ready to drink it?

I don't know, I just like to mix up the Peanut butter with everything. My small blender mixes it up really well. Although I may not understand what you are trying to say. The peanut butter will not mix worth a crap just in a shaker alone. Unless you all know something I don't. Chocolate water just doesn't do it for me. It's really no big deal, I'm just trying to save some coin.

Not sure man, I've only read about baking whey and the harm it does to amino's. Never have I read that milk would do this...not to say its not true though.

If you find that research article again post it up. We'll take a look.

This is complete nonsense. Milk added to whey protein can only serve to give it an even better amino acid profile.

Many of you are familiar with Wardog's humorous posts and insights. He told me that for over a year, he would mix up a big jug of skim milk with enough whey protein that the container had 450 gms of protein in it. Then he would put it in a cooler and sip on it all day as he drove from job to job. Often his only other meals would be a steak hoagy from subway and a postworkout shake. This supported his 6'4" 280 frame throughout some pretty intense workouts. ;)

And there you have it case closed! :D

Ok, well, I stand corrected... Thanks for clearing that up for me bros. Just made my life easier.

I would have the shitz for days if i tried this. lol

You can always put the PB in the nuke for about 45 seconds to soften it up. Just make sure it's pure PB and not fat free or you will have a mess.

Fat Free PB uh....not that's just un-american...and where do you find fat free peanuts? :D

or just eat the pb with a damn spoon like the rest of us :D

I have no problems eating PB with a spoon. I do however, would really rather not drink protein water unless I have to. My problem is no problem any more. I would much rather have my protein shake taste like a peanut butter cup than watered down choc. shxt. but that's just me.

Maybe it's reduced fat...

Either way, don't buy the shit. It will foam up and smell like crap if you nuke it. (previous experience when cloning Reeses PB cups)
