For about under a year now iv'e been getting some minor pains around the heart area. These pains dont come from just excercise, but il be sitting down doing nothing and they'll come. From everything i've nailed it down too i still dont know what it could be. My LDL's in check, ive quit smoking, i dont drink or take drugs, the only thing i can thing of is stress.
Saying that im still not 100% that this is a heart related matter. I went the doc's last week to explain the situaton and knowing the kind of doctors theses days he said exactly what i thought. "i dont think its heart related", but still he ran a few test's which i recieved today. The ECG showed that some signs of left ventricular hypertrophy That was a non confirmed diagnosis as he said the machine they have will over diagnose and is not all that accurate :rolleyes2
Like usual, everything else was in check when he was flicking through the results till he got to the last page and seen that my CK levels were *1232 (normal range 0-300).
It said on the sheet, CK levels may be increased in
-myositis
-myopathy
-rhadbomyolysis
-hypothyroidism
-IM injection
- excessive excercise
few background things i might include.
Not on any statins - closest thing would be hawthorn extract.
use to be a heavy drinker/smoker.
Use to use drugs, havent used since july 2010 (coke)
work 4 on 4 off ( two days, two nights so i do miss out on sleep).
work out EOD.
for now the doc said to take a break from training.
anyone know much about CK?, could this relate to the pains im getting?
Much help would be appreciated.
