This can easily be done with a digital scale (why would you have that laying around) ! I had my kids do it and they were shocked! Took it to school and showed it off!
 
I just went through this with my wife last week.. trying to get her off the coke..
 
Water only for me but I miss my Coke from time to time. Never booze...just Coke. Its been at least a year.
 
I only drink water and coffee. My favorite used to be Dr. Pepper and then switched to that Raspberry ice tea. Now its no sodas for me and I stopped drinking booze about a year and a half ago...
 
For me it's a fresh juice (2 oranges or ! orange and 1 lemon) first thing in the morning with my iron supplement, then water during the day and a diet soda (7 Up Ten or Canada Dry) in the evening.
