How many of you guys stretch? If so when do you do it, before or after a workout? I've heard you can prevent injury from stretching before your workout to help warm your body up and I've also heard not to stretch to prevent injury because it stretches your muscle fibers which increases your chance of injury.

If you stretch to much before a workout, you won't be able to handle as heavy weight, just warm up before your workout with a few light sets of the exercise.

just a good warmup set going deep into the rep works for me......

but i heard streaching after ur workout is really good and help make u stronger in the long run but like liftsiron says streching before will hinder ur strength during a bit

Stretching afterwards is good......It is supposed to help with flexability......

Light stretching before, during and after workout.....be careful cause stretching a fatigued muscle can cause it to tear.

I alwasy stretch after the muscle is warm. I do it for every bodypart I'm hitting...in between ever set. I do extreme stretching after I'm done...been doing that for years too even before Doggcraps name was known.lol The theory of stretching the fascia for potential more growth is debatable, but I DO beleive in it. Also IMO, being tight and non -flexible is injury conducive...thats probably the main reason I have always stretched. ;)

stretch before ,during and after your workouts..and when nobody is looking flex that muscle youre working and hold it for 10-30 secs after your last set of each exercise for that particular bp..:D..im dead serious it works
