I wanted to put this in this secton so everyone could read it. I know it probably belongs somewhere else.
I've not really said anything to anyone because I don't have a clue what I am doing but I have been using 'slin since late September. Started using it in prep for a PL Meet in Ft. Lauderdale, got the flu, and ended up doing a Bench Press Contest in Denver instead in November.
Anyway, I started training with BB friend I met in a gym in Gainesville, sort of a long distance thing, but he was willing to drive to train with me. This dude is 285-300lbs in the off season and gets down to around 255 for a contest, ripped, at least to me. He wanted to train with me to bring his strength up and I wanted to train with him to push me like a good partner will.
He uses aas, hgh, slin, you name it he is either on it or cycles it. He convinced me to begin using the slin. Now I am scared to death of stuff like that, my father dies of pancreatic cancer, and at first I balked. But eventually I caved back in September.
New Years day he drove over 100 miles to train with me and fill my syringes with the insulin, whic he did regularly, since I am a complete ig concerning the stuff.
We had done our flat bench training, hit the inclines and I was done but he was going to do some d-bell work. As he is getting up from my incline bench after his last set he hit the dirt face first. I had no idea what had happened but I hollered at my wife to call 911. I rolled him over and started hollering at him to wake up. I asked him questions but all he would say was umhmm. I thought he had had a stroke. So I'm just trying to keep him conscious, and not doing too well, when the paramedics showed up.
they asked me about his history and I told them he had some sort of heart condition and was diabetic, basically to cover his tracks when they started running tests and blood work in the hospital. the paramedic checked my buds blood sugar and it was 28!
Now this guys a seasoned pro, having won quite a few NPC shows and even two IFBB shows in his weight class. 31 years old and coming up in the ranks, so it was odd that he should be crashing since he knows his stuff.
I talked to him Wednesday evening in the hospital and apparently his kidneys are shutting down therefore they are not filtering the slin like they used to and instead it was building up in his system until he crashed Tuesday in my back yard.
As we speak I am slowly tapering down off of the insulin and will never touch that stuff again! Yes my strength exploded, size has never been an issue but yes I got bigger, but at what cost?
this stuff is dangerous, even for those who are knowledgable. No more slin for me, that stuff can kill you!
