Monday is leg day for me. Squatting, working up feeling good, 415lbs...go down well below parallel, easy, feeling good feeling strong, rep 1...rep 2, go down, start up POP..freeze..wtf start to continue and realize this isn't good...had the safety stops set so I get out from under it, sit, take off my belt the guy in the next rack says you alright..I say I don't know, I either tore or broke something. I felt the pop go through me. Hobbled to locker room, wrapped it as tight as I could with the knee wraps I had in my bag. Got my stuff and got on the Harley and went home...was very shaky ride home shifting was pure klutz. Took wraps off iced it off & on 20 minutes each all night. Had a pain killer from my back injury last fall, took that and went to bed. Went to urgent care this morning...thankfully just a bad tear the doc said, gave me a shot, meds , crutches. hurts like a biotch to even touch the outside of my left quad hip to knee. Looks like I'll be hitting the circuit machines for a couple weeks and won't be catching any fastpitch for a while. UGH! I was just getting back and in a rhythm from the herniated discs last winter.
 
Damn Frig sorry to hear. Maybe get on some taurine and potassium. That seems like it might have helped me after my calf tear 6 months ago.

I'm on hgh...could i inject in the quad for possible faster healing as well?
 
Ughh, that blows. It's always the days you're feeling good, and then you tear something. It's because of this I do a higher rep range and stay lighter. I've noticed when I go really heavy, even though I can handle the weight for 6-8, I was pulling things more frequently. I keep my reps between 10-15 now, and do a couple extra sets. Best to prevent injury.

possibly some localized effect but better to use BPC157 or TB500.
 
And this is why I don't go butt to the floor anymore. The stress on every attachment is just too much. Go a bit below parallel on squats and use the leg press and hack squat machines for the deep stretching. You'll last longer and still enjoy the benefits of squats.

Actually when it "popped" I looked down thinking oh sh*t I just broke my leg, then realized i wasn't laying on the floor so I was probably ok, lol.
 
That's a big set-back. I hope you can find ways to work through it and get your strength back.
 
Ditched the crutches, I was going to end up hurt worse using those damn things. I'll hobble better than use them. Besides crutches aren't made for us guys with lats...damn things dig in and I'm already bruised form them.
 
She's looking pretty good. Three weeks into a crazy training program, new supps and on a hard cut.

She's for sale. I should be able to get more out of her now.

Take a trade & cash for an older model?

howes the healing going?

I think I really got lucky or the gear & hgh I'm on is helping significantly. I'm in the gym but staying away from legs. I still have an pain in the quad but it has dropped to just a constant noticeable but livable these last 3 days vs fml it was. I can put shoes and socks on now without cursing moaning and whining. :)
Might try something very light next week but starting with stretch to see if I can do that without hurting it first. Thank you for asking B7!
