You can't always lift/eat/sleep so does anyone read? :)

I have at least an hour commute each way to/from work so listen to audio books in my car. Might sound nerdy but listening to A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin right now. HBO series for the first book was pretty good. The books kick ass!

Before bed I read on my Nook and just finished kind of a weird one called Rule 34 by Charles Stross. Quote from the Urban Dictionary, "Rule 34--Generally accepted internet rule that states that pornography or sexually related material exists for any conceivable subject." That lets you know a little about it. :D

Right now reading Reamde by Neal Stephenson. Quote from Amazon, "Enter "REAMDE," an online virus that brings together a super-rich CEO, a Chinese hacker, a rogue Russian mafioso, an assimilated East African beauty, an itinerant Hungarian software programmer, two insanely prolific fantasy writers, and guns, guns, guns."

I know I'm an uber geek! :insane:

I'm a huge fan of Dennis Lehane, especially his Kenzie-Gennaro novels.

Recently I've read The Town and The Devils In Exile, both written by Chuck Hogan.

I'm very picky when it comes to what I read, often going months between reads before I find something worth reading.

I don't read anything fiction. If I'm not learning from it, I don't want it taking up space. :)

Muscular Development, MuscleMag, Flex, etc...I also don't dig reading fictions (even though most ads in the mags are indeed fictions :D ). I see enuff fiction on TV. :p

i dont read fiction either i like plant biology n stuff like that

Never have been much of a reader. Gives me a headache .
I do browse through Hunting magazines and read articles ,but mostly look at the pictures. The new books out by Brad Metzler are real good reads on corruption and deception .and hidden mysterious ..thats always interesting stuff .

Is this a continuous story series or can you just pick any up and go?

It is continuous but they're written in such a way that you can pick one up and understand everything without having to read any of the others. However, I will say this, do not choose the last novel in the series, it's really not that good.

If you have ever seen the movie "Gone Baby Gone", directed by, Ben Affleck, that movie is based on one of the books from the series.

The movie directed by Martin Scorsese, Shutter Island, is also based on Dennis Lehane's 2003 novel of the same name.
