World's Strongest Woman?

No he means shirted. Id like to see that aswell. 535 for 5 for a woman with no shirt is nearly impossible.

I know, its hard for me to believe also. Apparently she hit 560 in a gym lift but she wont compete or take a video :rolleyes2 - currently I believe Becca Swanson still holds the record with a 551 shirted of coarse.

Scratch that, Becca hit 600 in a comp, here is a vid of her board pressing 635 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW2Dc4Xl7yk Shirt or not, you need to be strong enough to control the weight, she doesn't shake of come out of the groove at all. Complete control here. 99% of the men in the world couldn't even hold that weight in thier hands if it were dragged out for them.

that's why i said proof.. aint no way in hell she is doing that for 5 raw.. just not possible sorry

If she is the girl from World gym in North Jersey then that bench is an equipped bench not Raw. She is still strong as hell for a woman but she isn't benching 535 Raw.

yes thats her but the only "equipment" she was wearing were the elbow sleeves she always wears. it was maybe 2 months ago and it was a raw lift other then the elbow thing.

no not on a smith machine on the regular bench

impressive, but what is the point of the board why not just drop the extra two inches?

Working with boards works the different parts of the lift. We usually use a 1 board all the way to a 6 board. 1.5 inches makes a big difference. I am weaker in the 3-4 board range, approx mid way through the lift so I hammer them to work through it and eliminate my sticking point.

Also, if you can touch a 1 board with a shirt on you are more than likely going to touch without it. Using a board helps you learn where to place the bar, how to control the weight and how to touch. I know it sounds crazy but the shirt will throw the bar everywhere, you actually have to pull the weight down with a tight enough shirt. Also, using a 1 board helps save your shoulders especially if your 2-3 weeks out from a meet.
