ok well i understand that incline bench is going to work the upper chest and decline is gonna work the lower chest and flat works some of all...but in order to effectively breakdown your chest for a more optimum growth would u need to workout the upper lower and midsection of the chest everytime u workout chest?...ive always thought that when u worked out chest if u were gonna do incline bench then well that day u only did exercises that workout upper chest until next week or whenever u work out chest again and then if u choose to do flat or decline then u only do exercises that work those specific areas of the chest.

Although the question that you have posed may seem like a simple one, it is not. By the look of things, Hot Rocks probably gave you the best advice. There are so many different training methods for chest that I suggest you search this site and try to utilize the information that has been posted previously. If you can't find what you need , we will attempt to give you our own theories as well as the ideas of the great gurus of the past.

well what ive been doin here lately-- as opposed to just doing flat bench and a couple of smaller chest exercises ive been doing flat bench one week (sets-10,8,6,4,2,5,10.....weird i know!) and flat chest flys and some push ups or something (just for a pump) and then the next week i do incline (sets-10,8,6,4,2,5,10) and incline chest flys and i usually dont do any decline...am i doing this right?i have a hard time making my chest grow as it is...im just tryin to make sure im doing a workout thats most beneficial to optimum chest growth. my sets on flat consist of (10,8,6,4,2,5,10) 315lbs-335lbs-365lbs-405lbs-425lbs-315lbs-295lbs...on incline they are: 225lbs-245lbs-275lbs-295lbs-315lbs-245lbs-225lbs...this has got to be enough weight...i know my incline is weak compared to bench though is that a big deal?

Do the same intense workout everyday for 30min excellent results

thats actually really good weight on inclines. myself I dont believe in doin decline presses unless Im doing decline flys( which are the greatest fly exercise ive ever done).
my chest workout goes lil like this

1st week flat barbell, decline flys, Incline dumbbells, then seated flys

2nd week Incline barbell, flat bench flys, flat bench dumbbells, cable crossovers.

reapeat every other week. works good for me.
